Dutchmasters: T.I. & the Trap Museum

Designed and creative directed the custom editorial feature with T.I. using his Trap Museum as the location to speak to his contributions to music. I created the shot list, concepted the juxtaposition of his looks to visualize his “street corner to business boardroom” persona. As readers scrolled through, the full bleed images would animate from T.I. against full color backdrops of rooms in the museum to black and white images of T.I. with various pull quote. The landing page had titles of T.I.’s albums and top songs animating on and off screen around T.I.

Due to contractual obligations this editorial is unavailable to view but was featured on Complex.com.

As a fan of T.I.’s early career and a fan of the idea behind the Trap Museum it was fun to work on this and see most of my conceptual ideas approved to be integrated into the project. Felt good too that T.I. saw some of the creative ideas and liked what we did. Was definitely able to pay some homage to his contributions through this project.
